Just take 5...DIY Home SPA Retreat, by AJ Michiels

What I found working in spas and my own, was that its all about creating a FABULOUS Experiienc fo the guest. Why not recreate that experience at home? You deserve some self care love! Here are some 5min DIY SPAHH Ideas that you can do when you don't have a lot of time OR all together on a day off for some real pampering! But 5min each when you don't have a lot of time but really need a bit of pampering give these ideas a try! You can make your own DIY recipes or save time by buying from someone you who has these products, they will be sure to add value to your life!

  • Use a Hair Mask: Give yourself a scalp massage (sooo good for added pampering) to work in the conditioner. I use just conditioner and leave it on for better results. Depends if i am going out or not, if in I leave on all day! I also use leave on serums for super dry/split ends.


  • Cuticle Oil: Give your nails some love! By using a cuticle oil it not only makes the cuticles soft (so you don't get broken skin) but also it stimulates the nail bed for longer nails. It also helps strengthen the nails. I use actual oil (any oil) and leave on for a few min. I also use cuticle oil from a beauty supplier to save time.


  • Body Scrub: Give you skin some LOVE! Body scrubs fluff off dry skin, hydrate the skin, and also stimulate the skin for a younger looking appearance. It helps with you circulation too! Basic Recipe: 1.5 cups Sea Salt, 5-10 drops Essential Oil (Lemon/Bergamot is a great combo!), and about 1 cup oil (any) or add as you need depending on whether the consistency you want on your skin. You can save time by buying a body scrub from a supplier.


  • Massage oil: YES please! Who wouldn't want a massage?! Making your own oil saves you money and is super easy to make: Any oil but Grapeseed oil is what I use with about 5-10 drops of essential oil in it. If its for body I use lemon/bergamot essential oils, if its for feet or hands I use pepperment or lavender essential oil. Of course you can buy a premade massage oil from a supplier too to save time!


  • Foot Soak! Make sure you have your own bowl just for pampering those tender tootsies! Add some a few drops of your FAVE essential oils, you can add espsom salts or a little bubble bath and for a nice SPA touch adds some petals!


  • Flavoured Water! To round out your SPA Experience you can have flavoured water. Pear/Mint, Lemon/Cuccumber make some really great spa drinks!


  • ADD a Comfy Robe and some realxing SPA Music and that will complete your experience!
