Why care about self-love? Why practice Self Care Activities? It is the act of showing yourself some compassion, love and allowing yourself to heal. It is learning how to let go of negative emotions, finding your strengths and growing away from your fears. If we care about ourselves, we are better able to help others as we are coming from a place of love, kindness and peace. Here are some good reasons to show yourself more self love and different tips on how to add Self Care Activities to your days.

  • Reduces your stress levels: If you are doing daily self care, it helps you decrease your stress levels as you are doing activities that make you feel better

  • Develop healthier living habits. When you are doing something nice for yourself it creates more of that, the desire to want to live a longer, happier life

  • Improves your self talk to a more positive one. You will start to watch the negative self talk and start to let go of the negative emotions and pain we carry.

  • Could improve your relationships. People who love themselves also tend to understand themselves better, which helps them identify the kinds of relationships they want or don’t want

  • Help you become more productive and focused. By using past experiences as a learning opportunity, you will feel lighter and ready to make changes to your habits

  • Increase your happiness, calmness, and peace of mind. Self-love encourages you to think of yourself like a dear friend. You can acknowledge that you’re not perfect, but still worthy of acceptance and support

  • Boost your confidence and help you build strength. Self-love also provides the tools you need to achieve your dreams, such as reduced stress, emotional resilience, increased productivity, and confidence

  • Stay on track with your goals

  • Be an inspiration to others. You will exude more confidence, happiness and calmness. It will help you in your day to day relationships and if you have a business. People will be attracted to you and what you have to promote






What kind of self care do you like to do? Don't know where to start? Maybe you are new to doing things nice for yourself...here are some Tips on Self Care Activities:

  • Write down things that you like to do? Maybe you don't want to do yoga or meditation. Maybe you like to sing or dance. These are fantastic ways to show self care and bring about a smile and more happiness. Brainstorm a list of 10 things you want to do.

  • Choose a few things for the week. Try them out. Keep a journal to write down all your ideas and note the feelings you have. You will find what works with you. Don't give up, there is something that will work for you and your schedule.

  • Lots of folks say they don't have time. There are many activities you can do that don't take much time ie. Lotion on your hands and feet, playing music in the background, making sure you are hydrated, making a healthy snack, taking a few minutes to deep breathe. Create a list of things that don't take much time and that you like to do. Use those things when you are short on time.

  • Ask yourself some questions that will help you move forward from the place that is bothering you. Why do I feel upset about not making time for myself? Why do I feel I don't deserve to make the time for myself? What are my fears? Who am I? What are my stengths? What kind of new training would I like to do?

  • Take some fun interest courses! Brainstorm FUN activities you might want to do that will push you out of your comfort zone. ie. try a Salsa class or Belly Dancing, Sing some Karaoki, Spend 5 mins dancinig around the house...

Find ways to add more bliss and love to your life. It could be something super simple like smiling and humming. Remember you are not alone. Hope you find value in this, XO AJ
